from 2007 to NOW
be...salon opened it's doors on 3rd November 2007, and from the very start all the products we used or sold were cruelty-free 100% vegetarian (with most being vegan as well). We wanted to be different in a good way and not all about the sometimes self-centred and unfeeling beauty industry. We looked to make our clients feel great when they left the salon as well as helping them sort out their very real hair needs so, to move away from the falseness of the beauty industry.
We had our our 5th birthday in 2012 and celebrated it in the salon with a party with our lovely clients and friends, the theme was Hollywood / Bollywood so we all dressed up to the nines and partied, celebrating 5 years of be...salon.
Our 10th birthday was in 2017 and we also celebrated it with a good old get together with our clients and friends at the salon with music, food, drink and an awards ceremony like at the Oscars, which was great fun, we also remembered our beautiful clients / friends who were no longer with us and were missed terribly, which was very moving and a big thank you to everyone who attended or supported us.
At the end of 2019 we started our re-furb of the outside of the salon with a new sign, new logo, and new colours. We also have a new awning and blinds to help keep the salon cooler in the summer months. All this was very exciting and it was completed in mid-2020. We love our new image and think it is much more modern for the new decade of the 2020's.
The new logo and the new colours and style will be taken into the salon and was planned to be done by 2022, but covid stopped this and so we had to put it on hold until 2024.
So, at the beginning of 2024 we began our upgrade of the salon area and reception, we are nearly there & should have it completed by mid 2025. The salon area now looks so much bigger with our drinks room being removed and our wash area being relocated in the centre of the salon. The look has been updated with different textures and now much cleaner looking, but also has more eye catching decorations. The reception desk is at last new and has 2x booking systems so making it easier to book and pay. We do hope you like what we have done so far.
Next, we will be repairing and refreshing the front of the salon as it has been nearly 6 years!

Salon Director
Leigh started his career when perms were big and colour was bold, and his love for hairdressing hasn’t faded. He’s a natural mentor, always encouraging the team to push themselves and keep learning—he believes a great stylist is always evolving. Leigh’s enthusiasm for hair products is unmatched (some might say obsessive!), and his playful sense of humour has earned him the title of salon prankster. While he’s not taking new clients at the moment, his energy and support continue to uplift the team every day.

Gemma
Artistic Stylist
Gemma joined us in 2018 and felt like part of the furniture from day one. She brings a quirky charm and vintage soul to the salon, trained in both traditional barbering and old-school hairdressing. So if you’re after a classic perm or set, she’s your go-to—but that’s only part of her story. Gemma also has a flair for modern colour and curl transformations, blending timeless techniques with a creative eye. Whether you’re dreaming of soft waves, bold curls, or a fresh colour pop, she knows exactly how to turn your ideas into a look that feels uniquely you.

Lauren
Creative Stylist
Lauren began her hairdressing journey in 2018 and is affectionately known as the baby of our team. Quiet by nature but bursting with creativity, she puts thoughtful care into every strand, ensuring your hair looks and feels incredible. Speak to her about dogs, though, and you’ll discover her hidden chatterbox side! She’s passionate about all things blonding, tousled waves, and effortless curls. If you're after anything from soft blondes to bright shades, relaxed beachy waves or bouncy curls—and prefer a quieter, more peaceful appointment—Lauren’s your perfect stylist.

Creative Stylist
Amber rejoined us from maternity leave on 21st March 2025 and will be working Fridays only for a while. She’s been part of the be…salon family since November 2018 and has blossomed into a balayage and foilyage superstar. Her passion lies in all things blonde—from full platinum transformations to gentle toning refreshers. Whether you’re dreaming of icy white, silver-greys, or creamy bright blondes, Amber is your go-to guide for achieving that perfect tone. She’s also a master of finishing touches, crafting everything from beautifully shadowed waves and curls to sleek, straight styles that turn heads.
